covid19 cases cheshire east daily

AudlemOnline has received a few messages from readers who miss the detailed COVID local statistics page that was provided on the website each day up until last weekend.

There was even a suggestion that the daily infection levels revealed by the statistics decided one reader where to go shopping that day, although we suspect that the preference related more to the better condition of the Shropshire roads! In any case we would always advocate shopping in Audlem wherever possible.

Anyway, this statistics page was provided each day by Mike Mason, working from Government statistics that are available to all, if not in the easily comprehensible form that he was able to produce. After so many months of the daily work to provide this, Mike quite reasonably took the view that the whole thing had gone on much longer than was originally anticipated and that he had done his bit.

So if there is any reader out there who is prepared to take on this role, we will happily talk to them about what is involved, and if possible reinstate the COVID statistics page
