Another Award Winning Shop in Audlem

Yesterday morning, Peter and Chris Silvester of Audlem Mill were happy to promote Audlem village through Radio Stoke in connection with their latest Award.

For the second year running, Audlem Mill Needlecraft Shop has been awarded Runner-Up in the North West of England for Best Stitch Shop retailer.

This award is all the more special because of the fact that Chris was considered "inadequate" at needlework ("complete waste of time and effort" was the exact phrase) at the Girls' Grammar School in Wilmslow. Thereafter, Chris was persuaded to follow a more academic route.

Therefore, Chris was especially pleased to tell Lamont Howie of BBC Radio Stoke that she is the happiest she has ever been in life, owning a fantastic needlework shop, in a beautiful mill, in the most incredible place – Audlem!
