Audlem Annual Parish Council meeting – 23/05/22

The Council Meeting was held with Councillors Winskill (Vice Chair), Warburton, Cawood, Bower being quorate following the retirement of the previous Chairman

Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman

Councillor Winskill was elected Chairman and Councillor Warburton Vice Chairman

Co-option of Five New Councillors

A secret ballot was held to co-opt five new Councillors. The result will be published in 48hrs after each successful candidate has been contacted.

Public Forum

Following discussion in the public forum, Councillors explained that Council materiel and financial detail was expected to be handed over on Friday 27th May from the retiring Chairman.

Annual Business

Council policies were approved and will be reviewed over the coming year.

Minutes Approval

Minutes of the 10th February 2022 meeting and the 28th April meeting were approved and will be published initially on Audlem Online and when re-established the Parish Council website.

Parish Clerk

Following submission of a CV and a subsequent interview Dr. Kathleen Howe has been offered the post of interim Clerk starting 1st June 2022 and a permanent position of Clerk will be advertised to follow.

Lengthsman Vacancy

Four Applicants came forward after the post was advertised but a match was not achieved and the post will be re – advertised.

Meanwhile Councillor Winskill and Lorna Matthews are voluntary carrying out this important role for the village. Arrangements whilst they are on holiday are published on AOL today.

Planning

A council response to the application for planning permission 22/1302N will be forwarded to Cheshire East outlining the Parish Council's objection.

The next Meeting will be held on Monday 13th June 2022 at 7pm

Members of the public present thanked and applauded the four Councillors for their efforts during a very difficult time for the Council.
