An unusual garden visitor

A Hoopoe

Just wanted to tell you about the Hoopoe who visited our garden for a couple of days earlier this week.

He / she was about 30 feet (10 metres approximately for younger readers!) away and was not too worried about us watching.

Our resident Robins were not happy about it being in their territory and kept chasing it away. Nevertheless it kept returning a number of times to feed in the lawn.
