Audlem Online has just been informed that, at last, the North West Ambulance Service has agreed a date for the public meeting in Audlem with local MP Stephen O'Brien. The meeting will be on the evening of Thursday 7th June. Details of venue etc will be published as soon as arrangements have been made.

The Ambulance Service will be represented by the Deputy Chief Executive of NWAS, Bob Williams, and the NWAS Director for Cheshire & Mersey. MP Stephen O'Brien will also be at the meeting which has been arranged to discuss residents' concerns after several high profile issues over emergency call-out times. Discussions about the meeting in Audlem have gone to the top of the NHS and have involved the Minister of State at the Department of Health, Andy Burnham MP, on behalf of Secretary of State Patricia Hewitt.
