There's an important meeting tonight to explore and discuss interest in allotments in Audlem. With increasing interest in growing food, already a large number of local families and individuals have registered their interest in the new project. An application has, we understand, also been made for initial funding.

Want to learn more? So, tonight Thursday, January 8, starting at 7.30pm, D.A.H.L.I.A – that's short for DevelopingAllotments4HealthyLeisureInAudlem – will be meeting at the Methodist Church in Audlem to discuss progress and the formation of an Allotments and Leisure Gardens Association.

The meeting is open to all. Around forty people or families in the area have expressed an interest in having an allotment if the land can be acquired. If you are interested, you can contact Ruth Kemble (811887) or Christine Johnson (811774) or simply turn up at the inaugural meeting at the Methodist Church.

The agenda will include a welcome and introductions; a description of the story so far; a discussion on forming an association and an opportunity to ask questions with refreshments.
