Allotment Update and it's Good News

Bidi Jones has contacted Audlem Online to say:

"Due to help from Jean White, Clerk to the Parish Council, and the shops and businesses which have displayed the poster in windows and on notice boards, we now have at least six people who would like an allotment.

We can now move on to the next stage.

I will write an official letter to the Parish Council requesting that they consider the provision of allotments.

It is hoped that anyone interested will be able to attend the open session of the Parish Council meeting in October to discuss it with them, and the Parish Council hopes to provide a speaker on the subject as well. I will communicate with all prospective allotment holders on the list nearer the time.

Meanwhile if anyone else feels they would like an allotment if we can get them set up, please phone Bidi Jones on 812414 and get on the list. Allotments have lots of advantages – great tasting vegetables, really fresh food (I often have salad on my plate within minutes of picking it), truly local food and healthy exercise.
