A Ritz-inspired, winter wonderland themed afternoon tea served up a special occasion and memories, as well as the best china and tasty treats, at a Cheshire nursing home.

Residents at Morris Care's Corbrook Park Nursing Home in Audlem put on their best outfits to sit down to a stylish afternoon tea on a winter wonderland theme.

In a nod to genteel times past, they were served finger sandwiches, warm scones and sweet pastries from tiered stands, with a glass of Prosecco and a choice of teas, including Earl Grey and Darjeeling.

Sue Austin, Chief Operating Officer at Morris Care, said: 'It was a delightful event which residents and members of their families thoroughly enjoyed. It brought people together and got them talking and reminiscing. Our chefs and our team

of organisers worked hard to make it such a success with great attention to detail.'

The afternoon tea experiences, complete with formal invitations, have proved a hit at all six of Morris Care's nursing homes.

Corbrook Park is an 80-bed nursing home that provides tailored care packages for elderly frail people, including post-operative convalescence care, disability and palliative care. It has specialist expertise for those requiring dementia

care.

As part of a fifth-generation, family-run business, Morris Care has been delivering quality care in Shropshire and Cheshire since 1989. For further information visit
