As I look in my garden at the pussy willow branches, the catkins on the witch hazel. The bursting buds on the camelias and red currents, I recall wonderful days long ago in our fields and lanes. Of buttercups, dog daisies, lords and ladies, corn flowers . Of poppies red and carpets of daisies . Of frogs spawning. And so much more in the signs of spring . But now fields are bare of all the wild flowers. Never a sky lark above . And now this government has reversed the ban on neonicotinoids agreed when the whole of the EU banned this so poisonous chemical. We, the UK , the dirty man of Europe , are to use this vile stuff again. One teaspoon of the stuff will kill 1 million bees.!!!
Wild flowers killed of by the wide spread use of herbicides . So sad. So very sad . I wonder if those who produce such poisons sleep easy in their beds .
This week we play Cooper Buckley. Our most dangerous of opponents . As we both strive to be the top dogs of the league .
Sadly I am away in London for a birthday lunch with part of my family as we celebrate the birthday on Honesty.
So my report will be based on a feed from Kev Mort , our magic manager .
And a red card to boot. Means a ban for one of our midfielders .
So , sad result from a very fierce game.
The league table is now --
Team. | Played. | Won. | Drawn. | Lost. | Goal difference | . |
Winsford | 18 | 12 | 3 | 3 | 36 | |
Audlem | 15 | 12 | 2 | 1 | 38 | |
Cooper B | 14 | 12 | 1 | 1 | 55 |
On we go , next game is versus Leighton F C in Crewe. 6th of March and refereed by the top referee of the league
On we go , still full of spirit and real togetherness .
