This may be our last market for a few weeks as our autumn produce slowly diminishes.

This week the tomatoes are still flourishing and growing in this warm spell. 

There will also be Jerusalem artichokes and recipes, Spinach, eggs, free apples and the best keepers of all --The Egremont Russet, kept in a cool place and not too dry will store for up to 6 months, and still remain juicy and crisp. It is an English apple raised before 1872 and is described as "Highly Flavoured" 

The cake makers and preserve makers have been busy with jams , jellies and chutneys, so stock up for winter.

There is still plenty of Honey on the shelves and other bees products as they continue to be so busy with hundreds soaking up the ivy nectar today.
