West Mercia Police are still checking on traffic speeds through Adderley especially at school drop-off and pick-up times

The speed checks have been identified as a 'local priority' by the Partners and Communities Together (PACT) initiative which gives local people the chance to highlight issues and help set priorities for local police teams.

High visibility patrols have been in evidence since April as police have used laser devices to collate data on traffic speeds past the village school.

The checks remain a continuing priority over concerns at the speed of drivers as they enter the 30mph Adderley village speed limit area which starts near the school gates.

PACT enables residents of the Market Drayton Rural North area of West Mercia Police to tell officers about issues that are causing local concern. Once a priority is identified, the local policing team works with partner organisations and the community to find the best solution.

If you have issues you wish to highlight you can do so at the next PACT 'Face to Face' surveys in Adderley and Woore when the local policing team carry out a five-minute survey that provides a quick and easy way to raise any issues or concerns.

The next 'Face to Face' are on Thursday, August 8th at Adderley School at 8am and at Woore Post Office at 10am.
