Adderley Playgroup

Recently opened Adderley Playgroup is a non profit baby & toddler group, held weekly at Adderley village hall. All children under the age of 5 are welcome with their parents, grandparents, carers & childminders.

The group runs term time on Wednesdays between 9:45am and 11:30am. With free entry.

The group is set up as a non profit, community led project. To provide a provision for young children and carers, a place to integrate and nature those important early years. With help from the Adderley hall village committee and a abundance of donations from the wider community the initial sessions have proven to be a success.

Local businesses are on board too. Morrisons, Market Drayton and Woore fruit farm have been generous in supplying healthy snacks for the children.

The hall is a light and airy environment, allowing for a baby area for none walkers and space for preschoolers to run around and enjoy themselves. There are plans to introduce regular arts & crafts and messy play. And in the summer months the group will extend out to the external play area.

Clare Bailey group volunteer says We hope its a great community asset in bringing together parents & preschoolers especially after an isolating time for new parents during the pandemic.

Currently Adderley playgroup are looking for additional volunteers to help with the running of the group. If you are a individual who would like to get involved or a business looking to support a community initiative please get in touch.
