On the Ramblers walk last Saturday, some of the history of Adderley was unveiled – notably Poole House and the Lake. The Motte was hidden in trees – but its position reasonably clear!
There is advertised a 2 mile history walk shown on information boards when following the route – there is one at the canal bridge by Poole farm and another by the church and the editor is sure there may be more!

There is a lot of detail in these websites – well worth a browse – many photos – articles on WW1 and WW2, the railway, houses still standing and at least one that has disappeared!
