ADCA talk on Bentley

Tomorrow's ADCA Coffee Morning at The Lord Combermere will feature a talk on the relaunch of the Bentley brand with the first appearance of the Bentley Mulsanne Turbo in 1982.

Local resident – and editor of AudlemOnline, we must declare – Bob Cartwright was Director of PR and Advertising at the company at the time and had responsibility for the launch.

He will tell the tale of the car's launch at the Geneva Motor Show and subsequently a month of spectacular driving with motoring correspondents from around the world at Le Mans, the scene of so many Bentley triumphs in its illustrious past.

The launch changed the company completely with Rolls-Royce and Bentley later becoming two different companies and Rolls-Royce decamping to Sussex and the Crewe factory now producing Bentley motor cars in numbers undreamt of thirty years ago.

The ADCA coffee morning starts at 10.00am.
