Cowpat Competition 1024 X 768

And the Winners are…

Our independent adjudicators have completed the decidedly tricky task of measuring 100s of Xs on forms against the actual drop zone parameters – and it was a close run thing!

And thanks to all the lovely people who completed multiple Cowpat Entry Forms for themselves, their families, their distant relatives on the other side of the world (we kid you not), WE ACHIEVED OUR GOAL!

As a result the First Prize going to the person the centre of whose X was closest to the centre of the lovely bovine Promise’s Pretty Perfect Poop (plopped on 27 September) has risen to a spectacular £1,000!

Far from going to the other side of the world, this augmented First Prize of £1,000 was won by a proper local, a very lucky individual indeed – Mr Philip Bates of Audlem!

Huge congratulations! Enjoy your winnings!

And congratulations also to our three runners-up!

2nd Prize – £300 – Mrs Pearl Allum of Ellesmere, Shropshire.

3rd Prize – £150 – Mrs Debbie Griffiths of Newport, Shropshire.

4th Prize – £50 – Mrs Cheryl Champion of Nantwich, Cheshire East.

(As a matter of note, our most distant entry came from Australia, the next most distant was from South America, and the third most distant arrived from France!)

What’s coming up in the ADCA calendar?

Spot the Cowpat won’t be back till 2027 – there will be a fresh opportunity to take part in this entertaining competition.

But our next fund raiser sees the return of the ever popular Race Night on Saturday 14 March 2026. First race at 7.30pm! Runners and riders are already in training for this great night out!

And what’s it all for????

Whether you are a winner, or you just bought an Entry Form (or 20!), or you quietly helped prepare and run this event in the background, you have helped Audlem & District Community Action (ADCA) raise more funds to continue our work of providing welfare support to vulnerable and socially isolated adults and older people and their carers within Audlem and District, promoting social inclusion, community participation and independence.

We thank you for that.

Grant making bodies to whom we apply for funding require us to actively raise funds ourselves and we aim to hold several fund-raising events every year. So we depend on local support to keep going.

We’d love you to volunteer with us, too! It’s a great way to give back to the community and make new friends – we’re a friendly lot! See here to find out more: https://adca.audlem.org/volunteering/volunteers.html
