Now that the Public Hall Annexe is fully up and running, ADCA has moved its office from Tressider's Shop on Shropshire Street into the new Annexe office. After much chasing of phone companies and sorting out various technical glitches, our ADCA phone line has also been successfully moved on the same number – 01270 747163.

Many thanks are due to Graham Tressider for letting us use an office in his shop for ADCA over the last few years, free of charge. It has been an important base from which to run our Medical Transport Service.

Medical Transport Service

If you need to get to a health appointment, are over 18, but have difficulty obtaining transport from relatives or friends, then please contract us to see if we can assist you. It's important to give us a least a week's notice so we can try to arrange for one of our voluntary drivers to take you.

We do ask for a contribution towards our volunteer's expenses. The costs of running this vital service have also been supported by a generous grant from Audlem Charity Shop over the last three years.

In the last three months we have provided 23 trips including 10 to the Audlem Medical Practice, 11 to Leighton Hospital and 2 to other local clinics.

Telephone any time to 01270 747163 and leave a message or call into ADCA's office in the Public Hall Annexe, Audlem on Monday or Thursday between 10.00am and 12.00 noon to enquire about Medical Transport or about any of our other day club, coffee club, befriending and carers services, as well as to find out about volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer drivers

We are always looking for more voluntary drivers to join us. So, if you have a current, clean driving licence, are in good health and have a few hours to spare each month, then please contact us or call into our office to discuss.
