Upcoming Fun in the ADCA Calendar!

Summer is here and our thoughts naturally turn to sun and fun – and fundraising! A small charity like ADCA (Audlem & District Community Action) depends heavily on three things to cover the costs of running our services for older people in the community – grants, donations and fundraising.

Our Grants come from grant making bodies like the National Lottery Community Fund and Cheshire East Council. Getting grants is hard work and not much fun unless we are successful – then we can enjoy spending the funds on our various objectives!

Donations large and small come in intermittently from generous people in all walks of life who see the value of what we do and want to help us. Receiving these gifts is definitely fun – they often come with lovely messages of encouragement and appreciation! (See below for ways to donate...)

And our Fundraising is done through our programme of great events offering everyone lively entertainment, amusement, good food and drink, and the chance to bag some personal reward through raffle prizes or other desirable benefits on offer – all while supporting us! This is all fantastic fun!

So what have we got lined up for you?

First up! The Twinkly Twenty-Week Draw!

Get your tickets now for a chance – or several – to win your ticket price back every week! from the first draw on 30 July for 19 weeks, AND then to max out in the Grand Final Draw on 10 December!

Tickets are £12 and you can get them from:

Williams Newsagents

Eleventh Hour Gifts

ADCA office in Audlem Public Hall Annexe (Wednesday or Friday morning)

or from any ADCA Committee Member.

Why not get one each for all the family? Treat your friends! (Or just keep it all for yourself...) The more you have, the more chances you get. And the more you have, the more you help ADCA! Win-win! (And thank you!)

Each week of the draw, three happy ticket holders take home £12. Finally, in Week 20, three Ultimate Winners will be the delighted recipients of:

A truly excellent 1st prize of £300

A jolly decent 2nd prize of £150

A very nice 3rd prize of £75

And that'll help with the Christmas shopping!

All winning numbers will be published on AudlemOnline. Make sure to keep track of your tickets!

Rollicking Return of the Race Night

Mark your diaries now, the legendary ADCA Race Night is back in Audlem Public Hall on Saturday 26 October 2024.

There'll be more excitement than ever and a good hearty supper (and bar!) to fortify you through all the anticipation of making a big win. It might be a hair-raising neck-and-neck race that does it for you – or just luck of the draw on your raffle ticket for one of the wonderful prizes provided by our lovely sponsors.

Tickets are £12.00 per person and there's nothing to stop you reserving yours right now by calling Geof Clarke on 07961 149666€! Places are limited!

More details to follow soon – keep your eye out!

ADCA Craft Fair

ALL stalls are already booked for our ever popular (and FREE) pre-Christmas event in Audlem Public Hall on Saturday 23 November 2024. And we have a waiting list of hopefuls too, just in case!

2025 !! What are we looking forward to next year?

Well, rumour has it there will be A Spring Concert. It might be brassy. Or perhaps tinkly. With refreshments to suit. Details and dates still being worked out!

And... whisper it... what everyone's been waiting for... A moo to poo... on YOUR square!

Yes, it's true! Spot the Cowpat will be back next summer! You could win really big when that pat goes splat!

Full details will be on AudlemOnline in good time for you to get all your friends and relatives near and far to participate (last time round, we had Audlem-connected punters from Australia laying their bets!).

We can't wait!
