ADAS volunteers have been out in the village over recent weeks working on planting and tidying tasks, luckily in quite warm weather, but which also means more watering work.
We have had three planting sessions which involved taking out winter/spring plants and adding summer planting to the perennials in the tubs and troughs The last session was planting and putting up the hanging baskets (as seen in recent AOL article of us outside the Shroppie pub).
We have also held three village tidying sessions. This involved:
Dates and times for the next village tidying sessions are below. Please come along and meet at the Buttermarket. Vis-vests will be provided if you haven t got one.
Activities will include sweeping, weeding, cutting back grass verges at Windmill Drive and cleaning signs in the village e.g. road signs. Tools required are typically wheelbarrow, hand gardening tools, shovel, spade, brush and bucket/sponge if you wish to wash village signs.
If you can t make all of a session, no problem, all time volunteered to keep the village tidy is appreciated.
If you are able to help with watering the village plants over the summer please contact us at the email address below.
