You may have seen the ADAS volunteers, wearing their high visibility vests, beavering away over the past few weeks in the sunshine or perhaps even the rain. We are also out and about in the winter as well, clearing away leaves and other detritus. So far this year volunteers have spent at least 232 hours on tidying work, weeding and even putting up the union flags. Much of our work is very visible in the village centre, but we also tidy the car park, the paths around the Scout and Guide Hall and grass verges/kerbs from Little Heath to Toll Gate drive.
Also, our watering volunteers are out three times a week to ensure our summer planting survives. Yes, even this year we have had to water.
We have a working party session on the 31st July with North West in Bloom judging on the 1st August.
We will have a break in August, watering continues though, with sessions re-commencing in September.
