Due to a technical logistics issue (ed – is that code for cock-up or conspiracy?), ADAS are having a stand-down on Sunday 30 June. So please extend your breakfasts and enjoy the rest. The next call-out will be Wed 3 July at 1830hrs – please meet at the Butter Market with the usual array of tools, wheelbarrows and humour.

Thursday 27 June saw the jolly band of yellow-vesters, once again, reclaim Broadways. You may notice from the pictures that we had a couple of undercover plain clothes people on the Broadways crew. This was because they escaped the Yellow Vest Monitor, who was to be found in the Public Hall flat garden alone (hence no pictures), which isn't flat at all but actually very lumpy and grassy and weedy and glassy, but we will conquer.

We also had a lone-ranger working on Heathfield Rd, who has lost some tools – so if you find any in that area please let us know so he can continue with his own gardening work.

As one volunteer said to me on Wednesday evening, 'I really enjoy this, it makes me feel part of something.' I know exactly what she means.

Once again, thank you to our volunteers for all your help and thank you to all those sending in donations via the envelope drops (that are still ongoing). If you haven't yet had an envelope and would like to donate via the web – please visit here

Many thanks
