Unfortunately, in common with many other local groups, ADAS activities have been much affected by Covid restrictions during the past few months.

Christmas trees and lights

However, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, ADAS was able to light up the Village as usual during the festive season.

Nikki Dakin donated the big tree and the Lord Combermere allowed its marquee to be used to dress the small trees, obviously following strict Covid regulations. Thanks are due to all who helped with the transportation, decoration and funding of the trees.

We know that everyone in the Village was delighted to see Audlem illuminated as usual over the festive period.

Hopefully, next Christmas, it will be possible to hold the popular Big Switch On and Carol Singing events once more!

Flower beds

During the autumn, several new stone troughs were installed in front of the Methodist Chapel. Many thanks to everyone who assisted with this project.

Also, refurbishment of the St James Church bed continued, with many extra shrubs being planted.
Work has commenced on a sensory plant bed outside the Lord Combermere for the benefit of partially sighted residents.

ADAS AGM

The AGM will take place on Thursday March 11th at 7.30pm. It is likely that this will be a Zoom event – details will be published on AOL nearer the date.

At the AGM, our long standing Committee Member, David Latchford, will become Lifetime President. This is in recognition of his 50 years of service as a Committee Member. We look forward to him continuing to provide a 'guiding hand' to the ADAS Committee in the future.

If you have any suggestions for future fundraising events or would like to become involved with ADAS activities, please contact Neil Goodyear tel: 07564 243996 or email: neilgoodyear@me.com prior to the AGM.
