Bryony Nixon, chair of ADAS, the Audlem District Amenities Society, reported at Thursday's AGM on another very busy year for the organisation that does so much to make Audlem the beautiful village it is.
The efforts of the ADAS team and so many volunteers was rewarded with a Silver Gilt award for this year's planting at the North West Britain in Bloom awards in late October.
This year ahead will see ADAS and Audlem in Bloom refurbishing the large bed by the canal at the Wharf in memory of Ben Murphy who died earlier this year.
A small but industrious army of volunteers of all ages make a big difference and nine flower beds have been revitalised.
An Open Garden weekend is also planned for 2015, an event now held every other year.
As we will soon see, ADAS decorate the village with 7,000 lights over the Christmas season on 59 small trees and, of course, the large tree in the Square. The Big Switch On is now a very popular event with huge crowds last year.
This year's Fashion Show was a great success with Fizz Fashion bringing in £300 to ADAS. The March Table Top Sale was also profitable, all helping supplement the envelope collection which raised £2,344 in 2014, vital support for ADAS's work.
The school was involved once again with marrow growing this year while the Choral Event with Audlem Voices saw a large audience. ADAS will be working with the school making full use of the Conservation Area, carrying out surveys on the wildlife and plants there.
