ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) says that the the hanging baskets and troughs are nearing the end of their life and will be removed soon. The flower beds will be cleared at the end of this month or early October as they too begin to look tired and plans made for bulbs and spring bedding plants. The Audlem in Bloom sub-committee will undertake all this work.

The marrows grown by the children of St James' and Buerton schools as part of the ADAS Year of Community Involvement by the children, will be judged this week by Ralph Warburton. The winners will then be announced at the school assemblies. There are already many stories of some very large marrows being dutifully carried into the schools!
