Audlem District Amenities Society held its AGM at St James' school last night and chairman Ralph Warburton reported on another successful year. There were plans for more large planters in the village centre and Buerton and arrangements were in place for an even better Christmas lights display in Audlem this year on shops, houses and public buildings throughout the village centre.

The winners of the ADAS Best Kept awards were announced with Helen Davenport and Bob Cartwright receiving the private house award for their back garden that proved popular during the Open Garden weekend in July and Tony and Sheila Maddocks won the commercial award for the Public Hall.
