A good time was had by all on Saturday morning, sampling free sausage rolls, mince pies, sweets, marzipan decorations and biscuits.

All home made, recipes were provided. Plus ideas for recycling or using natural materials to make christmas decorations. Christmas trees out of old paper backs or covered bottle tops, snowflakes, paper chains, tree decorations and yule logs.

I particularly liked the idea of making fake holly berries out of the wax from your edam cheese so the birds can enjoy the real ones. (do not get them near a naked flame though!).

Ideas for Christmas presents included spoons and champagne flutes carved from green wood or you could order a unique handmade garden bench, courtesy of Joe Bloor.

Watching the big Christmas tree go up made the whole thing more christmassy. Hope we didn't get in the way!
