Festival goers are being asked their opinions about the threat to our long-term well-being by issues including stress on the natural environment, mineral resources depletion and climate change.

And about the best strategies for reducing the impact of such threats. You can have your say by taking part in the survey on Sunday between 12 noon and 4.00 pm at the Buttermarket.

The survey is a project of ADAPT, the local group preparing for transition to a low carbon future.

Martin Dominic has created an ingenious mechanical model to illustrate the relationship between fossil fuels, carbon dioxide and climate.

He is pictured discussing the model with festival goers at the ADAPT display under the Buttermarket. Come along and see what happens when you pull the lever to pump and burn the earth's remaining oil reserves!

ADAPT – Audlem and District Acting Positively for Transition – meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm at Audlem Baptist Chapel. Next meeting, 6 June. All welcome.
