ADAPT Market Saturday 28th September

For those that don't need reminding we are now officially in AUTUMN, although day time temperatures are reminiscent of a late summer, and the bees are incredibly busy gathering in their winter stores while they can.

The ADAPT Food Group will be at the Lord Combermere Car Park between 10 am and 12 Midday again this Saturday.

The veg. and fruit gardens are still yielding their bounty. This week we will have, beetroot and onions, nearly the last of the runner beans, I have Pumpkins growing up my bean poles but they are not ready yet. There maybe a few raspberries, but the good news is that the cooks have made the damson jam, without the tooth braking stones, Hooray!!. Last week there was a request for Spiced Pear Jam, so by magic we shall have some this week. If we receive a special preserve request then within reason we will try to accommodate. A selection of other newly made preserves will be available.

We have freshly dug organic new potatoes, Spinach and Tomatoes.

The bara brith which is so popular will be available along with hens and quail eggs. ( No duck eggs. )

There maybe some cut lavender for making the lavender wands, which I use very effectively as car air fresheners throughout the year.

We shall also have some cut flowers to brighten up your day, Let's hope it's not raining too hard this Saturday, Come down for a chat at the ADAPT Food Group Market 10am to 12 noon.
