ADAPT SATURDAY MARKET!

Held under the gazebo in the Lord Combermere car park on Saturday morning between 10.00 and 12.00. Local produce, grown locally, for you to buy. Come early and get the pick of the crop.

On the stall this week lots of Bramley cooking apples they will keep till Christmas, Red Falstaff a good keeping, crisp, juicy, eating apple. Fennel, a few onions, shallots 50p for 7, a bargain. Fresh local eggs. Local honey and damson jam, you will never go back to bought jam once you have tasted home made. English celeriac, the nobbly root vegetable that tastes a bit like celery, grate on salads, cook and mash with potatoes, souted with butter, a very versatile vegetable. The frost played havoc with the dahlias and courgette but we should have Italian marrows.

All the produce, plants and flowers are grown by ADAPT Food Group and friends to show you that seasonal veg and fruit are the best. It doesn't matter how small a plot you have it will taste better if you have grown it. Come and have a chat with us on the stall and we can advise you on the best way to start off your veg patch.

See you on Saturday.

Thank you
Valerie Mackin
