...in the Lord Combermere car park, Saturday morning between 10.00 and 12.00. A produce stall, locally grown by Audlem and District gardeners, a great village facility, shop local!
The stall has been very full lately with seasonal fruit, veg and flowers, with any luck and good weather this week should be just the same: lovely runner beans, courgettes, raspberries and some exotic vegetable as well. Apples cooking and eating, eggs, honey and bees wax candles. What a treat, come early and find out what has been growing well this week.
This Sunday afternoon between 2.00 and 4.00, last pressing 3.45, will be the first of our annual apple pressing under the Butter Market. Bring your apples along and get them made into lovely apple juice. Any apples will do. Eating, cooking, windfalls. If you have had time to chop and freeze the apples all the better, don't forget to defrost them before you come, the freezing of apples seems to produce more juice. If you haven't had time to freeze the apples don't worry we will chop, mash and press them anyway.
DON'T FORGET TO BRING SOME BOTTLES FOR YOUR JUICE
If you can't make this week there will be other apple pressing sessions over the next few weeks...watch this space.
The picture this week was taken at last week's RNLI DAY at Overwater Marina.
