The next ADAPT SATURDAY MARKET will be held in the Lord Combermere car park, between 10.00- 12.00. Come early to get a locally grown gem!
Last week's stall was a great success and lots of seedlings sold and are now growing in Audlem gardens. Low air miles, low price and local what more do you need!On this weeks stall there should be lots of lovely thing weather and time permitting.Jerusalem artichokes, these can be either planted or eaten, (good for intestinal flora), pea plants, from saved seed, dwarf beans, chives, recurrent bushes, tomato plant and fennel. Oxalis flowering plants with dark red leaves and London pride plants.
If the hens continue laying there will be eggs and I have a feeling there might be some rhubarb and any other early produce that can be found ready in the garden. Can't guarantee everything and there will be things not mentioned – come early and have a look.
It isn't only the Lord Combermere that we have to thank for this great facility and of course we do thank the Lord C for allowing us to hold the market every week in the summer but also we must thank the members of ADAPT food group who work hard to bring the stall to Audlem.
If you are interested in sustainability, gardening and food and would like to join our happy band just have a chat with anyone on the stall, you will be welcome with open arms.
Thank you
Valerie Mackin
