There is music in the air this weekend. I wonder whether we shall hear Vegetables by the Beach Boys---- A playful track literally about eating your greens. Brian Wilson even recorded people chewing vegetables as percussion. How about Strawberry Field Forever , Our two local Fruit Farms – Woore Fruit Farm and Bearcat Fruit Farm are gearing up as we speak, hoping for some warm weather to ripen the early crops.
For this special weekend where we welcome music lovers ADAPT have moved to the famous Buttermarket.
We always grow a few extra seedlings as spares so this weekend we have tomatoes: tigerella and minibel, runner & French bean plants, chives, rocket, broccoli, chilli, aubergine and hosta seedlings.
Also on the Market will be lime and coconut cake, rose and raspberry cake and Victoria sandwich, free range eggs, apple juice, honey, jams, and preserves. Also a wonderful display of border plants. There should be some local farm pork sausages – perfect for the Turnpike field campers.
Stop by if you can and have a chat.
