Summer produce continues to be bountiful, thanks to some experienced gardeners and home cooks (not me!)
On the market this week will be cakes, jam, marmalade (lemon variety), redcurrant jelly, potatoes, courgettes, plums, tomatoes, runner beans and French beans.
The Chickens have been given a good talking to and feeding this past week and we will have good supplies of fresh free range eggs this week end.
The apple pressing equipment has been repaired just in time for the early dessert apples, as they have given us their harvest with enough to make some fresh apple juice.
There will also be Honey and beeswax products, lettuce, dessert and cooking apples, and some eye catching Dahlia flowers.
The market starts at 10am Saturday under the Buttermarket and finishes at noon.
Don't forget to come along and see ADAPT at the Fete on Sunday where there will be some home- grown surprises. We shall be near the Fire Engine on the Turnpike Field. Join in and support our village community.
Cheers
Chris Knibbs
ADAPT Secretary.
