This is suitable for a gluten free diet.
1 lb Apples peeled and chopped
2 oz softbrown sugar
4 oz groundalmonds
4 oz butter
3 oz raw canesugar
2 eggs, beaten
Mix the apples and brown sugar in an oven proofed dish.
Cream the butter and sugar.
Beat in the eggs.
Fold in the ground almonds.
Spread the mixture over the apples.
Cook in a pre-heated oven Gas mark 4, 350 F (180 C) for approx 45 mins or until golden.
