Now that summer is here, the growing season is really in full swing.

ADAPT want to encourage as much self-sufficiency as possible within our community, and growing your own food is a great way to contribute. Its fun too!

To show what can be done, ADAPT are holding Plant and Produce Sales on most Saturday mornings during the summer from 10am till Noon. These will now be held at the entrance to the Lord Combermere Car Park, with the kind permission of Allan and Jo Brown of the Lord Combermere, rather than at the Buttermarket as in previous years.

There will be Plants and Produce for sale all of which have been grown locally by Group members. There is also the chance to discuss with enthusiastic growers who are keen to share their knowledge.

Come along and see us! We'll be there this Saturday (28th June). The produce we expect to have available includes tayberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, calabrese and local honey.

For future weeks you can check whether there is an ADAPT Plant and Produce Sales by looking in the Food section of the ADAPT area of Audlem On-line (click here). We hope to give an indication of what we expect to display a few days in advance.
