ADAPT has great success with their cycle map-'Cycling for All around Audlem'!

Members of ADAPT's Transport Group have been busy replenishing the racks of cycle maps in the pubs and cafes on the routes (excluding centres of towns) and health centres, information points and libraries.

They were delighted with the positive responses they received, many outlets saying that the leaflets were very popular, flying out of the door. The high quality of the presentation was also praised.

Over 8000 have now been distributed and the individual route map pages in the ADAPT area of AudlemOnline have had over 11,500 hits. All in less than a year!

The group rides on the second Sunday of each month have continued through the winter, and have attracted 37 people over the past year and a half, with the average number being about 10 each time. Main roads are avoided as much as possible and most of the rides are along leafy lanes where you can hear the birdsong as you go. Riding with a group you find you can go much farther than you thought!

If by any chance you do not have a map yet they are available free in local cafes, pubs, the surgery, the cycle shop, Audlem Mill shop and Williams'.

The cycle map project received funding through Cheshire East Council's Participatory Budgeting Programme 2017 aimed at improving Public Health and also their Community Grants Programme.

Next ride Sunday

June 10th.
