The next ADAPT cycle ride is planned for next Sunday (17th September).
The last ride to Sound Common attracted a record turnout, so we have decided to keep the same formula with a short ride suitable for beginners, families, those returning to cycling or other cyclists just looking for a short trip.
This time we will follow route L1 from the ADAPT cycle map to Wilkesley, Adderley and Norton in Hales. Once out of Audlem, this is mainly on scenic back lanes, with only one very short stretch of main road at Adderley. Our plan is to meet outside the Bridge Inn at 10.30 and set off by 10.40, which should allow us to arrive in Norton in Hales by noon for a coffee / refreshment stop at The Hinds Head, before returning to Audlem via the Woodhouse Lane hill with its open views far to the west.
We should be back in Audlem about 1pm or so.The ride is all 'on-road' and covers 15 miles. All ages are welcome, but children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. If the weather is seriously inclement at the start time then a decision will be made to postpone or go ahead with the ride.
Thanks, Andy
