ADAPT Cycle ride on Sunday to Market Drayton

As well as circular leisure routes, ADAPT's cycle map routes include pleasant ways to reach neighbouring towns. This month's ride on Sunday 11th March follows one of these to Market Drayton following map routes MD1 & MD2. With two alternative road routes available, we will make a round trip of it by going out on MD2 via Wilkesley and Longford and returning on MD1 via Norton in Hales. It makes a pleasant rural ride of 21 miles avoiding the A529 altogether. It is all 'on-road' mainly using back lanes. We have arranged to stop for a snack and refreshments at The Red Lion in Market Drayton.

We plan to leave from outside The Bridge Inn, Audlem at 10.30 and will travel at our usual modest pace. All ages are welcome, but children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

If the weather is seriously inclement at the start time, then a decision will be made to postpone or go ahead with the ride.
