ADAPT Apple pressing on Saturday

ADAPT will be organising another the village community apple and pear pressing this Saturday, October 12th, 10:30am till 2pm. under the Buttermarket.

Calling everyone that has access to ripe apples and pears,-- Just bring your washed fruit and plenty of containers, and get them made into juice free of charge. It's fun for accompanied children and adults alike who will be encouraged to help.

Pressing can be messy, so old clothes recommended. You have many options for your juice. : Making cider or fresh apple juice to drink within a week, cider vinegar, freeze the juice, use it in recipes, or pasteurise it for keeping up to 3years. Don't allow your fruit to go to waste, bring it along. We have a few demijohns for sale if needed.

There will be the usual produce market from 10am till noon. The cake lady is back, we will also have free range eggs, jams and chutneys, fresh vegetables and honey.
