This horrendous action took place on the 25th May in the early hours.

I am sure the whole village has read the posts that have been on the AudlemOnline web site by his family thanking all for their support and their words of comfort .

The police carrying out their duties to the letter have appealed for any witness that can assist them with their enquiries and have published a dedicated and totally confidential telephone line for anyone who can be of help .
To date no one has called this number and I feel sure that the vast majority of residents would want the truth to come out. For the sake of his family ; for the sake of this wonderful community of Audlem. Do help if you can at all!!!

Ed: the Cheshire Police website has this information as to how to contact them:

"We know that people who were at the scene haven't come forward yet and we are making efforts to identify those potential witnesses.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 73945. Information can also be passed anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111."
