A Square Year

2025 is unusual

It is a perfect square (45x45).
The previous time this occurred was 1936 and the next one will be 2116, so very few people reading this will be around for the next one.

The second half of the number (25) is also a perfect square.

And as one of my daughter's friends on Facebook has just pointed out, 2025 is the square of the sum of the digitsfrom1to9.

Some of us with nothing better to do may also observe that 2025 is obtained by adding together the individual digits (giving 9), squaring it (giving 81) and then multiplying by the last two digits (25).

There will be a special AudlemOnline prize for the first person to predict (correctly) when the next year obeying these rules will occur.
