6-week Gardening Course – £100 for 6 sessions

Join Zdenek Valkoun-Walker, our Head Gardener for a 6-week course to develop your gardening skills. This course is suitable for those new to gardening or experienced gardeners who are keen to learn more.

The course will take you through how to assess your garden, planning borders, maintaining and pruning, propagation and weed control. The final session will be about lawn management and care. At the end of each session there will be seasonal tip – What you can do in your garden this week.

The course starts on Tuesday 5th February and will run every Tuesday afternoon for 6 weeks from 1 – 3.30 pm.. It will be a mixture of theory and practical learning.

Places are limited to 12.

The course programme in detail:

Assess Your Garden – 5th February 2019 How to assess your garden – identify soil type, aspect, situation and areas to develop. The essential tool kit for the gardener. Developing a plan for the season.

Enhance Your Garden – 12th February Planning a new border. How to enhance your garden.

Grow Your Own Garden – 19th February Focus on propagation. Grow your own garden from cuttings and growing plants from seed and splitting.

Get The Best Out Of Your Shrubs – 26th February Rose care. Pruning and feeding. Fruit tree and shrub maintenance.

On Going Garden Care – 5th March Border maintenance. Weed management Soil husbandry and composting.

Verdant Lawns – 12th March Lawn care and maintenance. Edging and cutting.
