The 2nd XI remain bottom of Division 4 as they lost to fellow-strugglers Mossley 2nd XI by 7 wickets. Only Rob Chadwick (23), Dave Parry (10) and skipper John Wainwright (32) managed to score double figures as Audlem slumped to 109 all out.

Despite Wainwright ruling the changes with the bowling, using six different bowlers, Mossley raced to victory in just 27 overs as they scored 113 for 3. Roy Wild and Chadwick were the only successful bowlers, with Majid Ullah claiming the other wicket as he ran out Mossley's top scorer, Matt Smedley for 43.

Mossley gained 25 points and Audlem 6. The 2nd XI travel to Warrington tomorrow to play seventh-place Rylands.
