Youth Club Report

Slightly annoyingly I forgot to take any pictures of last week's paper plane target activity. Anyway, suffice to say it consisted of several large sheets of paper taped together to make one giant one. From this were artfully cut various holes, large and small, angular and round. The bigger the hole, the lower the points acquired if you were successful at flying your plane through it. All of this was hanging from a washing line strung across the hall. Hopefully you get the picture.

It is surprisingly difficult to get a paper plane to go anywhere with skilful precision and so our players eventually drew on their initiative and used balls of screwed up paper instead. I can report that this was considerably more successful...if cheating. I could argue that was our dastardly secret plan, a metaphor for life if you will. Cutting corners, or screwing up your paper plane can make you a winner in the end...but I would be lying, we really don't think about it that much.

This week Gin will be leading a cooking session. Lots of toppings to go on lots of mini pizzas. Our food sessions always go down well so get there promptly if you want to eat pizza.

I must take this first opportunity to flag up to everyone that there will be no Youth Club on Wednesday 25th January. We are making way for the annual 5As pantomime 'Traesure Island' which sees the hotly anticipated return of writer Colin Cliffe. We wish 5As every success with this year's production and Youth Club will resume normal service the following week on Wednesday 1st February.

Audlem Youth Club meets every Wednesday in term time at the Public Hall, 7.15pm- 9pm. £1 subs on entry, no membership necessary, Year 7 upwards welcome. All queries to Kate on 07789 915940.
