I found much of the Correction article informative and I would like to join Heather in thanking the Parish Council for their efforts over the last year, and to include Heather in that thank you.

I should also like to record my thanks to the many other stalwarts in the area who give generously of their time in many spheres of activity, whether it be the Neighbourhood Plan, or ADAS, ADCA, ASET to mention a few others.

They all help to make the village what it is and I was at least able to thank those who do the wonderful displays in the varied planters and borders personally yesterday morning. I am so pleased to see it done but hate gardening.

This correction might have been better timed before the closing date for applications if encouraging possible candidates to present themselves was the intention but one can always ask to be co-opted on at a later date.

I can see that a full complement of councillors may have helped to lighten the load by allowing delegation of tasks. It has been a particularly busy couple of years with the Gladman and Hockenhull planning issues and dealing with Cheshire East.

How wise not to respond to Chatbox comments, especially those with unidentifiable authors, although of course as the authors are unknown a parish councillor could have used this avenue. I have for quite a few years always used my shortened name and indeed kept my comments on the Parish Council positive.

The PC, instead of vowing to virtually shun Audlem Online, should in my opinion use AO to inform and trickle down information, indeed the Neighbourhood plan people do to a large extent. We do need the excellent Parish Magazine but inevitably that is a periodical which is good to be able to keep to reread.

It is sad that it takes an article published online including a quote from a local resident to provoke the PC into contradicting something intended to encourage people to stand for the Parish Council.

Please PC keep up the good work to which I hope to contribute but let it be an inclusive not exclusive body and should use all avenues of communication including notice boards, Parish Magazine and Audlem Online.
