Audlem WI Fish and Chip Supper and Quiz Evening
Competition has been shown to be useful up to a certain point and no further, but cooperation, which is the thing we must strive for today, begins where competition leaves off. With these thoughts in mind, Audlem WI have come up with another beezer idea – a quiz evening – with our trusty quizmaster Ralph Warburton taking the helm, with the added plus that you can bring your own drink!
What more could you need to keep yourselves entertained on a Saturday night? Probably best if you don't answer that question........however, If you can answer a simple question such as;
A woman needs a man like..." what?
Answer – A fish needs a bicycle........then you are definitely ready to enter the hallowed realms of 'The WI Quiz!'
The Quiz night takes place on Saturday 12th November at 7.00 pm in The Scout and Guide Hall, and it will be a ticket only affair, at the paltry price of £6.00 each to include fish and chips which will be hand delivered by a select group of our finest ladies.
Dress will be optional – that should prove entertaining – and you'll need to bring wads of money as there are some fabulous, and I do mean fabulous, raffle prizes on offer.
This quiz is open to all, clever clogs or dumbos, ( we'll have a special prize for them ) and if you would like to come on your own you will be very welcome.
We have already sold over half of the tickets, so if you would like to join us, please contact Doreen Hubbard on 01270 811821 or email her on hubbardfamily02@btinternet.com
The delightful Judy from Williams Newsagents will also be assisting our sales – she's such a good egg – I don't know how the village would manage without her co-operation.
The Quiz proceeds will be donated to The Donna Louise Children's Hospice.
See you all on the night.
