Motorists driving in to Audlem are to be greeted with a smiling or frowning face – depending upon their speed. This week's Parish Council meeting agreed to set up two Smiling Sids (or Speed Indicator Systems) in a bid to halt speeding through the village.
Drivers within the speed limit will be greeted with a smiling face. Speeding motorists will, of course, get the frown. The signs are going up at Little Heath and the Baptist church.
