As part of our weekend coverage on AudlemOnline, we have decided to introduce a weekly quiz on Saturdays.

This week's theme was Geography and the Questions yesterday were:

1. Between which USA states is the Mason-Dixon Line?
2. Which independent state on the Red Sea was part of Ethiopia?
3. In which German valley are the cities of Duisberg and Essen?
4. What was Cambodia known as from 1975 – 1989?
5. Which region of Italy is often jokingly referred to as Chiantishire?
6. East of the Caspian Sea, which sea used to be the fourth largest lake in the world?
7. What is the name of the Brandy made in the Gascony (in the Gers region)?
8. Which USA city is dubbed 'The Mile High City'?
9. What is the name of the Greek group of islands that includes Rhodes?
10. What is the southernmost Cape of Africa called (Clue: based on the Portuguese for 'Needles'.)

The Answers to the Quiz questions are:

1. Maryland and Pennsylvania
2. Eritrea
3. Ruhr Valley
4. Kampuchea
5. Tuscany
6. Aral Sea (As pointed out on Chatbox, irrigation schemes and pollution has dramatically reduced its size.)
7. Armagnac
8. Denver, Colorado
9. Dodecanese
10. Cape Agulhas (not the Cape of Good Hope which is not as far south.)
