Weaver breaks its banks

The incessant rain over the last few weeks has finally caused the River Weaver to overflow onto the flood plains, as it flows through Audlem.

There are some horses in the adjacent fields but at this point they have been able to move to higher ground, so are currently safe.

Let us hope the rain abates and the flooding does not get worse.
