Tomorrow (Sunday 18th September) the Cycling Weekly 125th Anniversary Cycling event will pass through Audlem.
The event offers three routes starting and finishing at Oulton Park racing circuit. The three routes are called epic (125 miles), standard (79 miles) and short (a mere 65 miles).
All three routes will pass through what is described as "the pretty village of Audlem", before the routes split and the epic and standard riders tackle Mow Cop, with a mile of ever-steepening climb to the top.
There will be a feeding station in the village. Audlem is about the halfway point and the first riders set off from Oulton Park at around 7.20 am so presumably we can expect the leaders to come through the village from about 9.30 onwards, probably up to around noon.
