Waste permits are now digital

CE has introduced a digital permits scheme for use at our Waste & Recycling Centres. The permits are required for any disposal of private waste whilst using a van or trailer.

Previously, printed permits were sent out by post and could take around 3 days to be received.

Under the new scheme residents are immediately sent their permit via and email which contains a barcode. The permit can then be presented on a smartphone or tablet to household waste and recycling centre staff for them to scan.

Residents looking to offload something bulky and undesired at Pym's Lane can apply for permits on the CE website here.
